The ThermoTux® Cool Vest can be worn to cool a soldier, requiring only that it be soaked in water for a few minutes to be ready.  It is especially effective in dry weather. If no body armor is worn, it can last hours at a time.  If it is worn under body armor it must be either be exposed to the air or soaked in water every 30-40 minutes to maintain its efficacy.

The ThermoTux Helmet Cooler is an insert for military helmets which cools the entire body by cooling the scalp. It works the same way as the Cool Vest, through evaporation. It has the advantage that it can be used in locations and situations (e.g. combat in the desert) where the vest may not be practical.
